Barona Museum and Cultural Center
The San Diego Chapter of the Fulbright Association is pleased to invite the alumni, current grantees, their immediate family and guests to join us in the educational and cultural event at the Barona Museum and Cultural Center. This is an opportunity to learn about the history and culture of the Kumeyaay/Diegueño people and the Barona Band of Mission Indians. We will also hear the oral history of these indigenous people as told by the Rincon Youth Storytellers following the tour of the museum.
The visit begins at 10:00 AM with a docent led tour, question and answers, and discussion about the Kumeyaay/Diegueño people. Following the tour, the Youth Storytellers from the Rincon Reservation will join us at the Cultural Center to share stories passed down through the generations by their ancestors. Please go to www.baronamuseum.com for more information about this setting and the museum. You can also go to https://rinconyouthstorytellers.com to learn about their projects and fund raising activities of the Storytellers.
